Frequently asked questions

At Neurodivergent Chick, we believe in clarity and support. Here are the answers to the questions we hear most often from parents and students looking for personalized tutoring and coaching services in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and beyond.

How long is each session?

One full hour—weekly, same time slot. You pick what works best for your schedule.

What if my kid hates tutoring?

We don’t do boring. We use hands-on tools, sensory tricks, and engaging methods—whatever keeps them actively involved. No lectures, just real connection.

Do i need a diagnosis?

Nope. If you’re neurodivergent (or suspect it), we’re good. Our services are designed to support a wide range of learning styles and needs.

Can parents join?

Absolutely—some do. Others just get quick updates after the session. It’s entirely up to your preference and what works for your family.

What if it’s not working?

No contracts. Cancel anytime. Most students and families see real shifts and positive changes within weeks, but you’re never locked in.

Do you offer group sessions?

Yes—for social pragmatics. These are small, low-pressure groups where students can practice real talk: reading the room, small talk, jokes, and social cues. It’s a perfect add-on to one-on-one support.

How much does it cost?

It's $100 a week for one-on-one personalized tutoring or coaching. Group sessions are priced lower—please reach out to us for specific group rates.

What are the biggest benefits students and families typically see?

Within the first month, you'll often see increased confidence—students engage more in class, ask for help without shame, and families report fewer homework battles. By three months, measurable academic gains are common, including improved grades in reading, math, or language, better task completion, and stronger independence in daily routines. These are not promises, but consistent observations with dedicated effort. Progress builds quietly, then shows up everywhere.

How does the weekly membership work?

1. Sign up: Click “Claim Your Hour” and enter your name and email. It takes about thirty seconds. 2. Quick start: You’ll receive a short form to provide basic info about your goals, challenges, and school/home setup. 3. Waiver & agreement: Complete a quick liability form (standard stuff—we focus on pragmatics, executive functioning, and tutoring, not clinical advice). 4. First session: We meet online or in-person for one hour. We listen, observe, test what clicks, and build your personalized plan. 5. Weekly after that: Same time, same focus. We adjust as you grow—addressing homework, chores, social skills, and more. No long contracts, cancel anytime.

"What if this doesn’t work for my child?"

We understand this concern. Our membership is designed with flexibility: no long-term contracts, no penalties. You can cancel at any time. Most families notice meaningful progress within the first few weeks—if not, you’re free to step away without obligation.

"My student struggles to stay focused—will they even engage?"

We anticipate that. Sessions are tailored to their attention style: hands-on activities, sensory tools, and short, targeted bursts instead of passive instruction. We adapt on the spot—if focus slips, we shift. The goal isn’t forced participation; it’s real connection that keeps them present and engaged.

"Is this just another costly service that won’t last?"

Fair question. At $100 per week, you’re investing in personalized, one-on-one support—not generic apps or large group classes. And because there’s no commitment beyond the next session, the financial risk is minimal. We focus on consistent, impactful support that builds lasting skills.
